Plain City Before/After School Child Care

We offer State Licensed Before and/or After School Child Care for Plain City Elementary. Our Staff are trained professionals.  They attend ongoing trainings in the following areas:  Child Abuse, First Aid and CPR, Communicable Diseases and Child Development.  Activities at YMCA Kid Connect vary daily.  The activity schedules are planned in advance and posted to encourage children to plan for upcoming events.

Plain City Before/After School Care
This Before/After School Program is operated and ran by the Union County Family YMCA. It is housed out of the Plain City Elementary building located at: 340 West Main St.  Plain City, OH 43064.


Hours: Monday—Friday: 6:30—8:30am and 3:30—6:00pm.
Registration: Starts in April for current participants. New student registration begins in May. Forms are then available for those who would like to enter the program.

Please Note: Spots are reserved on a first come first serve basis with final approval by the Administrative department. Snacks are provided in the afternoon session.The program operates during two hour delays; however, since this program is in the school it does not operate during scheduled school breaks, snow days, or cancellations after two hour delays.

560_Kid_Zone_RedWhile you work out, Kidzone is offered for members and potential members during posted hours of service. Parents must be in the building. If your child is displaying symptoms of illness, please do not bring them to the YMCA.

REOPENING LIMITED HOURS- Effective June 22, 2020
Mon-Fri 8:00am-1:00pm, 5:00pm-8:00pm
Saturday 8:00am-1:00pm
Sunday Closed
-We encourage you to keep children at home if at all possible, to limit exposure. 
-Space is limited to 10 children maximum in the room.  This is due to the mandatory group size set by the governor.
-Limit of 90 minutes
-All children and parents must have their temperature checked when entering.
-All children and parents must wash their hands before entering.
-All staff are required to wear face coverings.  Children are encouraged, but not required,  to do the same.
-No outside toys, food, or personal belongings.  This includes blankets, stuffed animals, and backpacks.
-We will be sanitizing toys frequently and deep cleaning the room after each shift.

Kidzone is now FREE for all Family Memberships!

Non Members-per visit:  $3 for 1st Child, $2 each additional
Non Members-per month: $25/month 1st Child, & $40/month for multiple
