Membership Director

Under the direction of the CEO, the Membership Director will be responsible for assisting with the operation of the Customer Service Desk and the delivery of member and customer service at the Union County Family YMCA. This position will oversee all Customer Service Desk Staff and scheduling of staff to meet operational needs of the facilities and its guests.  As well as ensure that all back office duties and processes have been completed accurately.  This position is full-time salary.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred
  • Minimum of three years of customer service and supervisory experience
  • In-depth knowledge of customer service principles and practices
  • Proficiency in DAXKO Member ST or other member/client management software system. If not proficient in DAXKO, incumbent must be trained within 2 weeks of hire.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and written
  • General knowledge of YMCA programs, memberships, and account payable/receivable policies and procedures
  • General computer knowledge and ability to multi-task
  • Current American Red Cross or American Heart CPR and First Aid Certifications
  • Criminal Background Clearance

Fitness Center Attendant: 

This individual will ensure that members in the fitness center enjoy a clean, 
safe environment that is conducive to creating a positive experience toward goal attainment.  
Must be 18 years of age or older and have basic knowledge of anatomy and exercise physiology.  
Basic knowledge of fitness equipment repair preferred but not required.

This position is full time with a flexible schedule.  Must be available

Customer Service Desk
We are currently seeking responsible individuals to fill our Customer Service Desk position. 
Individuals will provide quality customer service to YMCA members and guests.  Duties include 
assisting members with registration, answering questions, and providing information.  

Available shifts include*: 
Tuesdays 6pm – 10pm
Thursdays 4:30pm – 10pm 
Fridays (every other) 6pm – 10pm  
*There are also many opportunities to pick up extra shifts at the desk.
We are looking for individuals who have a team player attitude and are 
willing to help cover shifts as needed.

Plain City Latchkey Staff (Off-Site)

Provide direct supervision to a group of children before and after school. Perform duties as it is related to the responsibility and safety of a child. Staff must be able to report to Plain City Elementary School.  Flexible hours available Monday – Friday 6:30 – 8:45am and/or 3:15 –6:00pm. For the 2018-2019 school year.

Head Lifeguard

We are currently seeking a friendly, motivated, hardworking, responsible certified lifeguard to perform professional duties in ensuring effective performance of lifeguard functions.  Responsibilities would include: Assisting in hiring, training, scheduling and appraising lifeguards; communicate to Aquatics Director any staff, pool, and/or safety issues that may arise and be responsible for the overall safety and well-being of those in the pool area. Hours are flexible.  Qualified and interested applicants can complete an application at the YMCA.  

Personal Trainer

We are currently seeking certified Personal Trainers who want to impact lives of others and help them achieve their fitness, health and wellness goals. Personal Trainers are responsible for developing personal workout programs for YMCA members and provide YMCA members with current and accurate information regarding health and fitness.  Must be able to work flexible hours and display outstanding customer service. Certified Personal Trainers are required to have current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications and a personal training certification through one of the national organizations.

Kidzone Staff

Responsible for the direct supervision and safety of the children in our Kidzone area.  Directly interact with children in a warm and positive manner, listening, and responding to their language/communication with respect and caring at all times.  Morning and evening shifts available.

YMCA or Red Cross Lifeguard
Responsible for the overall safety and well-being of those in the pool area. Looking for individuals for the Monday – Friday 5am – 1pm shift.   

Swim Instructors

Provide direct leadership, instruction and motivation for students in swimming classes. Experience preferred.
