Sports Assistant:

Under the direction of the Sports Coordinator and consistent with the Mission of the Union County Family YMCA, the Sports Assistant will assist in the development and success of the Youth and Adult Sports programs.

This position is part time and interested individuals must be available evenings and weekends to attend practices and games.  Responsibilities include: Assisting the Sports Coordinator with phone calls about upcoming sports leagues, contacting parents and coaches about game or practice changes, sending e-mails, organizing team information, attending games and practices, data entry, and surveys. This individual will act, as a liaison between the program and the Sports Coordinator, is a role model; and is an effective communicator. Knowledge of multiple sports preferred but not required.  Looking for someone who is personable and highly organized but works well in a team environment and exemplify YMCA Core Values.

Plain City Latchkey Staff (Off-Site)

Provide direct supervision to a group of children before and after school. Perform duties as it is related to the responsibility and safety of a child. Staff must be able to report to Plain City Elementary School.  Flexible hours available Monday – Friday 6:30 – 8:45am and/or 3:15 –6:00pm. For the 2018-2019 school year.

Customer Service Desk/Building Monitor: 
We are currently seeking responsible individuals to fill our Customer Service Desk/Building Monitor position. 
Individuals will provide quality customer service to YMCA members and guests.  
Duties include assisting members with registration, answering questions, and 
providing information. 

Available shifts include: 
Wednesdays 5:15pm – 10pm
Thursdays 5:15pm – 8pm (through August) 5:15pm – 10:00pm (starting September)
Fridays 5:15pm – 10pm 
We are looking for individuals who have a team player attitude and are willing to help cover shifts as needed.

Head Lifeguard

We are currently seeking a friendly, motivated, hardworking, responsible certified lifeguard to perform professional duties in ensuring effective performance of lifeguard functions.  Responsibilities would include: Assisting in hiring, training, scheduling and appraising lifeguards; communicate to Aquatics Director any staff, pool, and/or safety issues that may arise and be responsible for the overall safety and well-being of those in the pool area. Personal Trainer

We are currently seeking certified Personal Trainers who want to impact lives of others and help them achieve their fitness, health and wellness goals. Personal Trainers are responsible for developing personal workout programs for YMCA members and provide YMCA members with current and accurate information regarding health and fitness.  Must be able to work flexible hours and display outstanding customer service. Certified Personal Trainers are required to have current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications and a personal training certification through one of the national organizations.

Kidzone Staff

Responsible for the direct supervision and safety of the children in our Kidzone area.  Directly interact with children in a warm and positive manner, listening, and responding to their language/communication with respect and caring at all times.  Morning and evening shifts available.

YMCA or Red Cross Lifeguard
Responsible for the overall safety and well-being of those in the pool area. Looking for individuals for the Monday – Friday 5am – 1pm shift.   Certification required.

Swim Instructors

Provide direct leadership, instruction and motivation for students in swimming classes. Experience preferred.
