Youth Sports Referees

Referees needed!  Start your journey at the YMCA and boost your resume by being a 
referee on the weekend for our fall and winter youth sports leagues!  $15/hr, 
weekend games for 2 -5 hour blocks, uniform and orientation provided, no need 
for previous experience!  Seasons start September 21, so contact us soon!

Sports Assistant

Under the direction of the Youth Development Director and consistent with the Mission of the 
Union County Family YMCA, the Sports Assistant will assist in the development and success of the 
Youth and Adult Sports programs.  
This position is part time and interested individuals must be available evenings and weekends to 
attend practices and games.  Responsibilities include: Assisting the Youth Development Director 
with phone calls about upcoming sports leagues, contacting parents and coaches about game or 
practice changes, sending e-mails, organizing team information, attending games and practices, 
data entry, and surveys. This individual will act, as a liaison between the program and the Youth 
Development Director, is a role model; and is an effective communicator. Knowledge of multiple 
sports preferred but not required.  Looking for someone who is personable and highly organized 
but works well in a team environment and exemplify YMCA Core Values.  

Licensed Massage Therapists

We are currently seeking Licensed Massage Therapists to join our team.  
LMT’s must be available for afternoon and evening appointments. 

Plain City Latchkey Staff (Off-Site)

Provide direct supervision to a group of children before and after school. Perform duties as it is related to the responsibility and safety of a child. Staff must be able to report to Plain City Elementary School.  Flexible hours available Monday – Friday 6:30 – 8:45am and/or 3:15 –6:00pm. For the 2018-2019 school year.

Fitness Center Attendant: 

This individual will ensure that members in the fitness center enjoy a clean, 
safe environment that is conducive to creating a positive experience toward goal attainment.  
Must be 18 years of age or older and have basic knowledge of anatomy and exercise physiology.  
Basic knowledge of fitness equipment repair preferred but not required.

Head Lifeguard

We are currently seeking a friendly, motivated, hardworking, responsible certified lifeguard to perform professional duties in ensuring effective performance of lifeguard functions.  Responsibilities would include: Assisting in hiring, training, scheduling and appraising lifeguards; communicate to Aquatics Director any staff, pool, and/or safety issues that may arise and be responsible for the overall safety and well-being of those in the pool area. Hours are flexible.  Qualified and interested applicants can complete an application at the YMCA.  

Personal Trainer

We are currently seeking certified Personal Trainers who want to impact lives of others and help them achieve their fitness, health and wellness goals. Personal Trainers are responsible for developing personal workout programs for YMCA members and provide YMCA members with current and accurate information regarding health and fitness.  Must be able to work flexible hours and display outstanding customer service. Certified Personal Trainers are required to have current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications and a personal training certification through one of the national organizations.

Kidzone Staff

Responsible for the direct supervision and safety of the children in our Kidzone area.  Directly interact with children in a warm and positive manner, listening, and responding to their language/communication with respect and caring at all times.  Morning and evening shifts available.

YMCA or Red Cross Lifeguard
 
Responsible for the overall safety and well-being of those in the pool area. Looking for individuals for the Monday – Friday 5am – 1pm shift.   

Swim Instructors

Provide direct leadership, instruction and motivation for students in swimming classes. Experience preferred.
