Youth Development Director

We are looking for an individual who develops, organizes and implements high quality Youth, Family, and Teen program(s) at the Union County Family YMCA. This position will be responsible for implementing Youth in Government, Teen Leaders Club, and increasing the youth sports leagues participation into a more robust program. This Cause Driven Leader must be willing to think outside of the box and create new exciting programs for our families to enjoy together across multiple age groups. Job Description

Day Camp Coordinator – Marysville location

The Day Camp Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the summer camp at the Marysville location. The Day Camp Coordinator assists with the development of quality programs in all camp areas. The Day Camp Coordinator is also responsible for various administrative tasks, which may include ordering supplies, coordinating schedules, coordinating field trips and completing all necessary reports. Summer Camp Counselor – Marysville and Plain City Sites

Are you looking for a fun, rewarding job this summer? Do you love working with kids? The Union County Family YMCA offers great opportunities in camp leadership, working with campers in Kindergarten – 5th grades. Summer Camp Counselors work in the camp setting to ensure a safe, fun and nurturing environment for campers. Working at a Y camp, you’ll be a positive role model and help kids learn values, improve personal relationships, become more independent, appreciate diversity and develop into strong leaders. You will lead activities such as: games, sports, character education, arts & crafts, field trips, and much more! Experience your summer through the eyes of a child, and make a difference every day. We are now accepting applications for a Full Time Custodian.  The right candidate will be responsible for cleaning duties including, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, replacing necessary supplies, and general cleaning and sanitizing of the YMCA facility. This position will perform assigned cleaning and custodial tasks related to maintenance of buildings and grounds following established routines and instructions. Must be available afternoon/evening and weekend hours. Prior experience is preferred but will train the right individual.  If you have passion and custodial expertise the Y has a position for you.

Plain City Latchkey Staff (Off-Site)

Provide direct supervision to a group of children before and after school. Perform duties as it is related to the responsibility and safety of a child. Staff must be able to report to Plain City Elementary School.  Flexible hours available Monday – Friday 6:30 – 8:45am and/or 3:15 –6:00pm. For the 2018-2019 school year.

Fitness Center Attendant: 

This individual will ensure that members in the fitness center enjoy a clean, 
safe environment that is conducive to creating a positive experience toward goal attainment.  
Must be 18 years of age or older and have basic knowledge of anatomy and exercise physiology.  
Basic knowledge of fitness equipment repair preferred but not required.

Head Lifeguard

We are currently seeking a friendly, motivated, hardworking, responsible certified lifeguard to perform professional duties in ensuring effective performance of lifeguard functions.  Responsibilities would include: Assisting in hiring, training, scheduling and appraising lifeguards; communicate to Aquatics Director any staff, pool, and/or safety issues that may arise and be responsible for the overall safety and well-being of those in the pool area. Hours are flexible.  Qualified and interested applicants can complete an application at the YMCA.  

Personal Trainer

We are currently seeking certified Personal Trainers who want to impact lives of others and help them achieve their fitness, health and wellness goals. Personal Trainers are responsible for developing personal workout programs for YMCA members and provide YMCA members with current and accurate information regarding health and fitness.  Must be able to work flexible hours and display outstanding customer service. Certified Personal Trainers are required to have current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications and a personal training certification through one of the national organizations.

Kidzone Staff

Responsible for the direct supervision and safety of the children in our Kidzone area.  Directly interact with children in a warm and positive manner, listening, and responding to their language/communication with respect and caring at all times.  Morning and evening shifts available.

YMCA or Red Cross Lifeguard
Responsible for the overall safety and well-being of those in the pool area. Looking for individuals for the Monday – Friday 5am – 1pm shift.   

Swim Instructors

Provide direct leadership, instruction and motivation for students in swimming classes. Experience preferred.
