Membership Director

Bachelor’s degree in human services, social services, business or equivalent, and two years’ experience working in health and wellness or social service environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community. Flexible work schedule.

Aquatics Director

Position duties include: Oversee the development, organization, and implementation of 
high-quality YMCA aquatic programs.  Responsible for ensuring the aquatics experience 
is safe, fun, and enjoyable for members and program participants.  Ensures pool safety, 
cleanliness, and training standards are met and aligned with YMCA of USA, 
Union County Family YMCA, and the State of Ohio rules and recommendations.

Position details: Full time exempt. Bachelor’s degree in recreation, aquatics or a related field, 
and two years’ experience working in an aquatic’s environment; or equivalent combination 
of education and experience. Schedule flexibility will be a key component for this position

Position details:  
Part-time Plus (25-30 hours per week)
Available Hours: Monday - Friday 4pm - 9pm
Must be 18 years or older

Responsible for the overall safety and well-being of those in the pool area. Variety of shifts available.    

Fitness Center Attendant: 

This individual will ensure that members in the fitness center enjoy a clean, 
safe environment that is conducive to creating a positive experience toward goal attainment.  
Must be 18 years of age or older and have basic knowledge of anatomy and exercise physiology.  
Basic knowledge of fitness equipment repair preferred but not required.

Kidzone Staff
The Y is looking to hire responsible individuals for our Kidzone.  Interested individuals will be in charge of the direct supervision and safety of the children in our Kidzone.  Duties include but not limited to: interacting with children in a warm and positive manner, listening, and responding to their language/communication with respect and caring at all times. Plain City Latchkey Staff (Off-Site)

Provide direct supervision to a group of children before and after school. Perform duties as it is related to the responsibility and safety of a child. Staff must be able to report to Plain City Elementary School.  Flexible hours available Monday – Friday 6:30 – 8:45am and/or 3:15 –6:00pm. For the 2018-2019 school year.

Head Lifeguard

We are currently seeking a friendly, motivated, hardworking, responsible certified lifeguard to perform professional duties in ensuring effective performance of lifeguard functions.  Responsibilities would include: Assisting in hiring, training, scheduling and appraising lifeguards; communicate to Aquatics Director any staff, pool, and/or safety issues that may arise and be responsible for the overall safety and well-being of those in the pool area. Hours are flexible.  Qualified and interested applicants can complete an application at the YMCA.  

Personal Trainer

We are currently seeking certified Personal Trainers who want to impact lives of others and help them achieve their fitness, health and wellness goals. Personal Trainers are responsible for developing personal workout programs for YMCA members and provide YMCA members with current and accurate information regarding health and fitness.  Must be able to work flexible hours and display outstanding customer service. Certified Personal Trainers are required to have current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications and a personal training certification through one of the national organizations.

Swim Instructors

Provide direct leadership, instruction and motivation for students in swimming classes. Experience preferred.
